Two terminals
T1 and T2 are several kilometres apart
El Prat has two terminals, T1 and T2, on opposite sides of the runways. They are not within walking distance: Aena runs a free shuttle bus between them. Your boarding pass or your airline’s website tells you which terminal you use; if in doubt, give us your flight number and we check it for you.
The suburban train line R2 Nord stops only at T2. If you plan to reach France by train, from T1 you first take the shuttle bus to T2, then the train to Barcelona-Sants, where trains to France depart.

Door-to-door comparison
Train, bus, own car or private driver: the real numbers for your group
Choose where you start, where you are going and how many of you are travelling. The private transfer price comes live from our booking engine; train, bus and tolls come from published fares, with their date. You decide.
The private transfer is priced for the whole vehicle; we divide it by the number of travellers so you can compare.
Sources (checked 27-10-2026): train times and fares from Barcelona-Sants (kombo.co, Trainline), FlixBus routes, 2026 Vinci Autoroutes/ASF rates (class 1). Driving times: OSRM, without traffic. Indicative: check with each operator.

Arriving
Where your driver meets you
Your driver waits in the public arrivals hall of your terminal, after baggage reclaim and customs, with a sign bearing your name. We track your flight, so if it lands early or late the pick-up time moves with it, and you have 60 minutes of free waiting from the actual landing time.
Switch on your phone when you land: the driver’s name and phone number are in the email you received before the trip. If your luggage is lost or delayed, let us know while you queue at the baggage desk.
- Meet and greet with a name sign, T1 or T2.
- Live flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting.
- Fixed price per vehicle to France, tolls included.
- Up to 22 passengers in one vehicle, several vehicles for larger groups.
Departing
How early to arrive for your flight
For a flight within the Schengen area, aim to reach the terminal about two hours before take-off; for a long-haul or non-Schengen flight, about three hours, as passport control adds time. Check your airline’s own recommendation, which may be stricter.
From France, add the driving time and a margin for the border and the Barcelona ring road at rush hour. Our pages from Perpignan, Toulouse and Montpellier give typical times, and we suggest a pick-up time with you from your flight number.

Frequently asked questions
Is my flight at T1 or T2?
It depends on the airline. Your boarding pass or the airline’s website shows it; give us your flight number and we check it too.
How do I get from T1 to T2?
By the free shuttle bus run by the airport. The terminals are too far apart to walk.
Where will the driver wait?
In the public arrivals hall of your terminal, after baggage reclaim and customs, with a sign bearing your name.
What if my flight is delayed?
We track it and move the pick-up time. The 60 minutes of free waiting count from the actual landing.
Is there a direct train from the airport to France?
No. Trains to France leave from Barcelona-Sants; from the airport you need the R2 Nord from T2 or a bus to reach Sants first.
How long is the drive from El Prat to Perpignan?
About two and a half hours for roughly 205 km, depending on traffic and the border.
