Why Girona
The shortest way from a flight to Roussillon
For many people living in the Pyrénées-Orientales, Girona is the most convenient airport: less driving than Barcelona, a manageable terminal and quick exits. The catch is getting away from it. The airport has no railway station, and the bus into Girona city means another train or coach before you even reach France.

From the airport your driver joins the AP-7 northbound, passes Figueres and then La Jonquera, crosses the border at Le Perthus and follows the A9 down to Perpignan. About 100 km, with no detour through any town.
